Four components of a well rounded exercise program are strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility. Each of these components help support one another allowing for a well rounded routine. The components can be addressed in multiple ways including resistance training, cardiovascular machines, and group exercise classes allowing variety to the routine.
At the Duke Center for Living each member is entitled to a fitness assessment, an exercise orientation, and all our group exercise classes. During the assessment the member will go through an assortment of tests which will check the four components displaying strengths and weaknesses in the members current fitness level.
Next comes the exercise orientation where the assessment results and the members own personal goals are combined to build an exercise regimen that may include group exercise classes. As each member’s wellness journey begins they will have the guidance and support of the fitness team to help them along the way with any questions that may arise as they pursue their wellness goals.
