STATE OF THE ART Treatment

Designed exclusively for The Arbor community, our physical rehabilitation facility serves as the center for inpatient therapeutic services. Our licensed therapists evaluate and determine what treatment can best meet the therapy requirements of each resident, with the benefit of having these services in-house.

Whether recovering from an illness, healing from surgery, or needing ongoing treatment, our residents can receive the support and attention they deserve. Our on-site services include common modes of therapy as well as post-surgical wound care, orthopedic conditioning, and aquatic therapy.

Physical Therapy

Focusing on conditioning, mobility, and range of motion to reduce pain and preserve quality of life.

Occupational Therapy

Developing and strengthening abilities related to daily activities and personal care in a way that promotes dignity and meaning.

Speech Therapy

Preserving communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills to assist residents who may have lost functionality.

Short-term Rehabilitation

Following an inpatient hospitalization for an injury or surgery, including joint replacement or fractures.

Center for Physical Rehabilitation

The Arbor residents have physical rehabilitation separate from the Center for Physical Rehabilitation. This larger, comprehensive facility is open to all residents as well as members of the Fearrington community who require services.
