On-site health care services for our residents are provided via a UNC Clinic, which exclusively serves Galloway Ridge residents and is staffed five days a week. The community also has on-call coverage for emergencies seven days a week. Our Clinical Services Team is exceptional at evaluating resident’s needs and assisting residents in navigating the available services that create a bridge between independent living and nursing care as needed.
DUKE HEALTH
A second on-site facility, operated by Duke Physicians, is available to residents and the general community every weekday from 8am – 5pm. For emergencies, a doctor is available on-call seven days a week. The clinic’s expert team is committed to improving your health and wellness, and consists of an internal medicine department, geriatric health, preventative medicine, routine health exams, chronic care management and on-site lab services — all available just steps from your door!

ADDITIONAL CARE
The Clinical Services Team provides additional care as needed and counsels residents and families through the continuum of care as a resident’s needs change. They perform prevention screenings, blood pressure monitoring, first responder emergency care, acute illness care, and wound care. They also assist with case management, navigating through the medical system, and referrals and serve as your advocate and liaison between yourself and your health care providers.

Whenever you need it
ON-SITE SPECIALISTS
Tired of visiting a specialist’s office? We also provide, on-site, the services of an audiologist, a dermatologist, a podiatrist and an ophthalmologist. We also have a social worker on staff to provide grief counseling, caregiver support groups and any other concerns you need help with. For your convenience, two local pharmacies deliver medications here daily. Finally, Home Care Services are available to assist with medications in the home, help with transitioning back home after a hospital visit, and other services you may need.

As a resident of Galloway Ridge, membership to our on-site fitness center, the Duke Center for Living, is included in your monthly fee. Our state-of-the-art, 20,000 square foot, medically-based wellness and fitness facility includes a beautiful heated indoor saline pool, a comprehensive cardiovascular and strength developing center with an elevated indoor walking track, and as many exercise classes as you care to attend.
