GALLOWAY RIDGE RESIDENTS SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS!
Galloway Ridge had an amazing time honoring our veterans who reside at our campus over Memorial Day weekend with DreamFlights at Raleigh Executive Airport. Here we were able to witness our cherished veterans take flight in a WWII Boeing Stearman biplane. It was truly awe-inspiring! DreamFlights is a non-profit organization established and dedicated to honoring seniors and military veterans. The foundation provides Dream Flights in a Boeing Stearman biplane, the same aircraft used to train many military aviators in the late thirties and early forties. Check out some of the memorable moments from our residents’ experience!

SENIOR GAMES VICTORS!
The National Senior Games Association hosts a sports competition once every two years for adults above the age of 50. Sports include archery, bowling, cycling, table tennis, and soccer, among many others. This year, Galloway Ridge’s first Table Tennis team emerged under the leadership of Coach Priya. They hope to compete in the National Senior Games in 2025.
MARILYN AND LEONARD ERNST GO PLATINUM
It’s not every day you get to wish a couple a happy 70th anniversary, but on October 22, we had the rare opportunity to do just that with two beloved members of our Galloway Ridge family, Marilyn and Leonard Ernst.
THE STORY OF GALLOWAY RIDGE'S WOODWORKING SHOP
New Galloway Ridge residents often experience a sense of relief upon discovering the Woodworkers Shop, having recently moved and in so doing having lost their personal hobby workspace. We do indeed benefit from a well-equipped Woodworkers Shop, used for both tinkering and serious woodworking, and from the camaraderie of fellow woodworkers. This facility is the result of significant contributions, particularly by early residents. The founding of this shop is quite a story!
