Triangle Business Journal on Thursday unveiled its 2013 Women in Business Awards winners.
The Women in Business awards program recognizes Triangle women who have proven to be dynamic and outstanding leaders with established track records of significant accomplishments in business and/or community service. The judges, a mixture of TBJ staff and Triangle business leaders, pored through nearly 160 entries to come up with this year’s crop of 26 winners, including the lifetime achievement honor.
This year’s winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Aug. 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham. The luncheon will be preceded by an expo that begins at 10 a.m.
“These winners represent a consummate balance of business success and community building,” says Bryan Hamilton, publisher of Triangle Business Journal. “They are leaders who not only have an impressive list of achievements, but are also looked to as role models and mentors for women hoping to follow in their footsteps.”
