Pittsboro-North Carolina Senior Games, Inc. is pleased to announce that Chatham County Senior Games has been sanctioned as an official qualifying site for State Finals 2013. Chatham County Senior Games will be held in various locations throughout the county April 16 thru 26, 2013. The Senior Games is a wellness and prevention program to keep the body, mind, and spirit fit while enjoying the company of friends, family, spectators, and volunteers.
Senior age 55 years and better are eligible to participate. Sporting Events will include: basketball shoot, bocce, bowling, cornhole, croquet, cycling, 1 mile fun walk, golf, bowling, horseshoes, swimming, tennis, track and field events.
Silverarts include: Heritage Arts-basketweaving, china painting, crocheting, rugs, jewelry, knitting, needlework, pottery, quilting, stained glass, tatting & needlelace, tole/decorative painting, weaving, woodcarving, woodturning, woodworking.
Literary Arts: essays, life experiences, poems, short stories
Performing Arts: comedy/drama, dance, line dance, instrumental, vocal
Visual Arts: acrylics, drawing, mixed media, oils, pastels, photography, sculpture, and watercolor.
