Announcing Galloway Ridge at Fearrington‘s New Executive Director: Heather Rusnak; June 20, 2011
The Board of Directors of Galloway Ridge, Inc. announces the appointment of Heather Rusnak as the organization’s new Executive Director. The Board of Directors and their management company, CRSA, conducted a widespread and intense national search for the new Executive Director, Ms. Heather Rusnak. Dr. Bill Nye, Galloway Ridge Board Chairman believes “Ms. Rusnak will serve Galloway Ridge, its residents and staff well with a sales and marketing approach to operations, understanding that everyone who is part of the community promotes the community from the ground up ensuring empowerment, involvement and decision making. CRSA and its parent company LCS will continue to be the management partner as the community prepares for Phase II openings in the spring 2012.”

As Executive Director Ms. Rusnak will provide overall strategic leadership for the organization and be responsible for ensuring and strengthening its financial health. She will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of all policy, residential and fundraising strategies and initiatives.
Ms. Rusnak comes to Galloway Ridge with over seven years of experience as an Executive Director of upscale senior living communities. Prior to joining Galloway Ridge at Fearrington, Ms. Rusnak served as the Executive Director at Atria Merrywood in Charlotte, N.C., a high end independent and assisted living community. Previously, Ms. Rusnak had been the Executive Director at Wildewood Downs Retirement Community, bringing experience from a Continuing Care Retirement Community for six years. She started her career at Wildewood Downs as the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, and was promoted to Executive Director eighteen months later. She is people oriented and values a culture of excellence from staff by creating reward programs for recognition, incentives and tenure. She is an out-of-the-box thinker who thrives on creating the best environment for the residents and employees while continuing the community partnership of Galloway Ridge.
