At Galloway Ridge, we offer on-site health care services for our residents. Our UNC Clinic is staffed by two nurses and two Geriatric Primary Care physicians, with on-call coverage for emergencies seven days a week. Our Community Health Navigator (Nurse) is exceptional at evaluating resident’s needs and assisting residents in navigating the available services that create a bridge between independent living and nursing care as needed.
The Community Health Navigator provides additional care as needed and counsels residents and families through the continuum of care as a resident’s needs change. They perform “prevention screenings”, blood pressure monitoring, first responder emergency care, acute illness care, and wound care. They also assist with case management, navigating through the medical system, and referrals and serve as your advocate and liaison between yourself and your health care providers.
If you are tired of visiting your specialist’s office, you can relax because we also provide, on-site, the services of an audiologist, a dermatologist, a podiatrist and an ophthalmologist. We also have two social workers on staff to provide grief counseling, caregiver support groups and any other concerns you need help with. Also, companion services are available to assist with medications in the home, help with transitioning back home after a hospital visit, and other services you may need.
Also, for your convenience, two local pharmacies deliver your medications here daily. You can relax and enjoy your retirement, knowing you are in very safe and caring hands here at Galloway Ridge.
