A Legacy of Volunteering
A History of Community Support
The residents of Galloway Ridge have a long history of volunteerism and community support. This dedication to service has given our residents a close involvement with our community, and the community at large with many opportunities to participate and make a difference.
In 2019, Galloway Ridge residents donated 22,900 hours to 112 local agencies including UNC Hospitals, the Ackland Art Museum, Chatham Council on Aging, Chatham Literacy Council, CORA Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army and numerous local schools and religious institutions. Our residents also volunteered to work on 61 Galloway Ridge Resident Committees including Activities, Dining, Finance, Health, Library, Special Events, Wellness, and the Welcoming Committee.
As Winston Churchill once said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. Our residents are a testament to this!
