A Legacy of Volunteering

A History of Community Support

Galloway Ridge at Fearrington WRAL
The residents of Galloway Ridge have a long history of volunteerism and community support. This dedication to service has given our residents a close involvement with our community, and the community at large with many opportunities to participate and make a difference.

In 2016, Galloway Ridge residents donated 26,437  hours to 89 local agencies including UNC Hospitals, the Ackland Art Museum, Chatham Council on Aging, Chatham Literacy Council, CORA Food Pantry, the American Red Cross Blood Drive, the NC Botanical Gardens, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army Holiday Kettle Drive and numerous local schools and religious institutions. Our residents also volunteered to work on 58 Galloway Ridge Resident Committees including Activities, the Special Events Committee, Health and Wellness Committee,  Communication, the Library, Woodworkers, Employee Scholarships, Employee Appreciation and the Welcoming Committee.

As Winston Churchill once said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. Our residents are a testament to this!
